"Storaro on Bertolucci's Films" is not just a BOOK, but a personal look back at the life of a close friend and mentor...

"Storaro on Bertolucci's Films" is not your average book. It's a heartfelt tribute to a close friend and mentor, Vittorio Storaro's personal account of his 25-year journey with Bernardo Bertolucci on various film sets, followed by another 25 years of preserving, restoring, and reprinting the ten films they made together.

During the challenging months of COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, Vittorio initiated the project "VITTORIO STORARO ON BERNARDO BERTOLUCCI'S Films," which culminated in this beautifully crafted volume that takes you on a cinematic journey like no other.

But that's not all. The book is accompanied by an incredible photographic and cinematic exhibition showcasing Vittorio's "double exposure" images captured while shooting the films. Additionally, it features various masterclasses on the three figurative themes of the Storaro-Bertolucci movies: "Light," "Colors," and "Elements."

And it gets better. The project is under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture, and it's being promoted as an Italian State Project. Vittorio's promise to restore and preserve their ten films with state-of-the-art digital/optical technologies at the Cinecittà Laboratory in Rome is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the legacy he shared with his dear friend Bernardo.

If you're a cinephile looking for a one-of-a-kind experience that will leave you "inspired," "enlightened," and "moved," "Storaro on Bertolucci's Films" is a "must-have" addition to your collection.
