Jupiter & Mars Acrylic Print

The bearded head of Jupiter, king of the Roman gods, burns in golden light beside a glowing sun, while the armored figure of Mars, god of war and father of Romulus, stands to one side. The image brings together the two gods at the heart of Rome's founding story.

Part of La Civiltà Romana by Vittorio Storaro, the three-time Oscar-winning cinematographer of Apocalypse Now, Reds and The Last Emperor, made in 1990 as a double exposure directly in the camera. Printed to order on acrylic for deep, luminous color, ready to hang.

Each print carries Vittorio Storaro's signature, printed with the image.
